COLOR BRAIN (CB) PROCESSORS

COLOR BRAIN (CB) PROCESSORS

Color Brain concept is based on the "Personality Dynamic" of the Human Dynamics Research conducted by Dr Sandra Seagal and David Home combined with elements from Ned Herrmann's “Whole Brain Thinking” (which is extensive MRI testing on brain activity) as well as from CR Cloninger's “Temperament and Character Research On Genetic and Environmental Influences On Behavior”.

Colored Brain Is Not About Personality!

Let’s compare the brain to a computer processor - PC versus Mac processor. For example a PC will run Excel in a direct and speedy manner but it will run Photoshop in a slower and roundabout way. Mac will do just the opposite. If you try to run Excel for Mac on your PC, it won't work and vice versa. Our brains are similar in this way - we have ONE hardwired processor which determines the way we interpret  the world around us and the "learned" facets of how we do things are the "software" that helps us to cope with the requirements of our job situation. In essence, each processor has natural strengths and talents as well as weaknesses.

Color Brain Strategy Shows Us How We Can:

  • Maximize ours’ and others’ strengths to create more success in a team
  • Increase our tolerance with different brain colors since we can more readily accept some perceptions and processes are a genetic function
  • Understand ourselves and our expectations to create more intelligent actions & less stress

CBCI (COLOR BRAIN COMMUNICATION INVENTORY) Administration

CBCI questionnaire identify an individual’s genetic brain processing, learned flexibility and area where one may have difficulty in communicating.
We overcome misunderstanding, conflicts, wastage of individual and group potential. CB allows us to maximize our capacity to act intelligently, optimizes our natural gifts and use them to maximize our ability to develop “software” for our brain for greater competencies. Understanding others at a deeper level improves relationships at work and at home. Each color makes up about 60% of the way we function in our world.

One color differs from the other colors in the way they process information, learn, function, communicate, problem solve, act and react in teams, become stressed, develop leadership.

Pointers To Note:
• Nobody will have more than 1 brain color. But you have a lot of software for your CB
• CBCI is not a personality test, it specifically determines the way you process and
interpret information. It is not about your character.
• Maximize ability to develop "software" for brain to achieve greater competence across many disciplines

CBCI Measures A Brain's Strength, Flexibility and Communication Propensity

• Natural mental processing strength (natural genetic strengths that determine how individual's brain processes information and how he/she will take action in a given career situation)
• Learnt mental processing strengths (learning ability to get results in an area unrelated to an individual's natural brain processing)
• Mental Flexibility (ability to productively work and communicate with others that operate with different mental processors)
• Communication improvement areas (determine what brain processing types are difficult for an individual to interact with. Understanding and knowing this will prevent potential problems in management and teamwork)

A BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE CHARACTERISTICS OF EACH BRAIN COLOR

Green Brain Processor (Chaotic Processing)

Action is clarity and power - act in order to understand
Nothing is connected and thinking non linear
Need feedback and to quickly find alternatives
Forward moving and feel frustrated if can’t get things done fast
Process surroundings & see "Big Picture"
Put things in every way they can but not good at details
Interact/work well with others to exchange
ideas and come up with creative approaches
Good communicators but they are too general in their explanations
Problem solver - tend to solve problems quickly
Ask lots of questions to understand things
Focused, driven and intense

Red Brain Processor (Linear Processing)

Clarity is power. Clear sense of purpose and direction
• Process facts in a rational, objective, logical way and is detached from situations
• Highly analytical and structured
• Process information from long term perspective and often think in the future
• Less mistakes due clarity but may not get what they want
• If something goes wrong, longer time recover from mistake and difficult to figure out what to do next
• Often misunderstood - their objectivity, reserved nature and emotional detachment seen as uncaring and insensitive
• Live their lives around well defined value system and seek to create clarifying structure to keep those values from being violated
• If see no value in change, will resist it strongly while taking time to analyze it
thoroughly and in accordance with their values
• If see any real risk in change, likely to resist

Blue Brain Processor (Intuitive Processing)

• Emotional sensitivity and empathy are Power
• Process and communicate in terms of feelings, emotional based
• Sensitive, empathetic and intuitive of others
• Everything is connected
• Feel environment and insightful of surroundings
• Multi-tasking especially in women. Versatile, capable of playing many roles and flexible
• Natural organizers
• Communicate at a deeper level with others because of verbal expressiveness and intuition
• Misunderstood/misinterpreted as they take things personally.
• Relationships and people are central in their lives
• Will take the blame when something they are involved in goes amiss
• Many have difficult time relating to their nature of openly sharing feelings
• Misinterpretations happen due to their being too nice can be seen as insincere and as a weakness

Purple Brain Processor (Relational Processing)

• Data and information are power
• Need lots of details and concrete facts
• Need a sense of direction and must have lots options
• Difficult to delegate as they take time to collect data and are unable to pass to others so stressed up
• Everything (time, tasks, people, etc) is connected
• More information, more stable a situation and stability in purpose gives them a safe sense of direction
• Sense of individual rather than group identity, yet family is of great importance
• Follow rules because of their orderly nature
• To learn, need considerable context in a hands-on environment and sufficient time to assimilate the information garnered
• Often misunderstood as they take much longer to act or make decisions.
• Meticulous attention to detail is perceived as "too much"
• Consider as insensitive and will not speak unless feel necessary and seldom express feelings
• Show their caring by creating smooth operational systems in life and work
• Connected way of processing can be applied to strategic and detailed planning ability to create overall policies and change
• A deeper understanding
